Job Title: Systems Administrator

Location: Bethesda, MD 20817




Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.

Applicant will be performing access management and security administration.

Applicant should possess general conceptual understandings of IT infrastructure, SCADA systems, and cyber security.



Applicant must possess strong oral and written communication skills; ability to maintain configuration documents, processes, diagrams and develop new procedures.

Applicant must possess working knowledge with various access provisioning tools and operating systems such as FreeIPA/RHEL IDM, UNIX, Linux, and Windows.

Applicant must understand and be willing to follow all critical regulations pertaining to NERC Cyber Information Protection (CIP) guidelines.

Applicant will be an integral member of the support team and must be able to take direction, take initiative, follow procedures, and work independently as required. Applicant must provide 24 X 7 on-call support and be willing to work off-hours as required. Applicant must pass a background check and drug test. Limited travel will be required between regional offices.

Applicant must be able to function in a highly secured area and follow tightly regulated processes and procedures. Applicant must perform duties as assigned.
