Description

Provide support and assistance to Micro/Customer Complaints and all divisions of Plant Operations including but not limited to Chambersburg facility in the implementation of new & revised formula/process, product specifications, packaging and coordinating our compliance to customer's requirements.


Assist and provide support to Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Sales/Marketing and R&D/OSS on issues that require investigation, audit and corrective actions -gather, interpret and relay data of same.


Assist in initial start-up in production of new or revised formulation/process. This includes formulation and batch sheet setup, implementation of new procedures, specification and packaging, , distribution and filing of information.


Assist in monitoring pilot run of new products processes and ingredients including interpretation and validation of test results for final specification (gather, interpret and relay data of same)


Responsible for testing, collecting, packing and sending out samples of products to outside testing laboratories as required by some major customers.


Responsible for the setting up taste panel evaluation of Sysco products from all the Ventura facilities. This includes reporting and interpretation of results.


Responsible for communicating and relaying information and serving as liaison person on issues pertaining to some major customers, i.e. Burger King, Subway, etc.


Responsible in the assessment of label acceptability and communicating results of necessary revisions to Label Printer and Purchasing Group.


Responsible for filing, recording of formulations and other technical information.


Research and provide assistance on miscellaneous information as requested by Customer Service Department.


Support the SQF Program and promote food safety.Other duties as assigned.




Position Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years work experience in food processing and/or other related fields.


1) Must be self-supervised and able to make reliable, responsible decisions. 2) Must have good computer skills (Excel, Word, Adobe, AS400) 3) must be able to operate lab equipment 4) Must be able to monitor production batches 5) Must have excellent mathematical skills 6) Must be able to follow procedures accordingly. 7) Must be able to work flexible hours 8) Must be able to sort and identify flavor characteristics 9) Must have good and excellent inter-personal and communication skills both written & verbal 10) Must have knowledge of analytical testing procedures. 11) Must be familiar with labeling regulations and requirements 12) Must be familiar with and have knowledge of dimensional analysis 13) Must be familiar with raw material and usages 14) Must be quick to learn and interpret results.
